I've loved the Marvel universe for as long as I can remember. The comics, the stories, the cartoons, the toys, I loved all of it. I also love collecting shiny cardboard like Pokemon, One Piece and especially Magic the Gathering! So when I heard they were going to mash those two worlds together, I put my preorders in immediately.
In 2024, Magic started this collab with 5 Secret Lair sets featuring Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Storm and Wolverine. In September of 2025 we got our first taste of Marvel with the Spider-Man set that featured our first infinity stone, The Soul Stone.
Fast forward to now, June of 2026 and Magic has given us a huge marvel set titled Marvel Superheroes featuring tons of iconic heroes as well as villains throughout the history of Marvel. And with this new set, comes a new infinity stone, The Mind Stone. My personal favorite cards are the source material cards that feature iconic artwork directly from the comics.
This probably won't be the last marvel set we get seeing as how there are still more infinity stones we've yet to get as cards, all I know is marvel fans will have tons of Magic cards for the unforeseeable future.
Once you dip your toe in magic, why stop at Marvel? There are so many other IPs magic has collaborations with. Also the universe stuff is amazing, like the recent Secrets of Strixhaven and the upcoming Reality Fracture.
